After the termination of Penang ferry service travelling across the mainland and island was announced on Jan 1, the number of passengers has remarkably risen today.

The Penang ferry service that used to carry both passengers and their vehicles will no longer be available starting from Jan 1 and will be replaced by speedboats that only carries passengers, cyclists and motorcyclists.

An employee from a hotel in Batu Feringghi, Norida Rosli, 33, actually took leave from work just to take her family on a final ferry ride.

Many ferry users coming from different states have taken the opportunity to enjoy the final ride before it is officially ceased.

It's one last time to take one for the gram. Do it while you can!
