Chances are when you were younger, you were exposed to the famous Charlie and The Chocolate Factory movie starring Johnny Depp And Freddie Highmore. Your parents were probably more familiar with the 1970s version of the movie which was also the first film adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic.
Fast forward to 2021, the lovable children’s story is set to have a spin-off movie.
Warner Bros is in the works of releasing a prequel of ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ entitled ‘Wonka’.
The story will focus on the origins of Willy Wonka during his childhood years and adventures before opening the famous chocolate factory.

There are no confirmations as of now on the who will be playing young Wonka but rumours of Tom Holland and Timothee Chalamet have been floating around recently.

It is a little hard trying to imagine both dashing young actors playing such an eccentric character but there’s no doubt that their acting skills are top notch.
The prequel has been in the works for four years and it is set to release premier on 17 March 2023.
